Shared experience, a new venture in Portugal
Tony and Joel founded Zigzag to bring their professional cleaning experience to households and businesses in Portugal, their home country.
After working together in Switzerland in a demanding industrial environment, they chose to set up their own business, operating under DAILY PROGRESS LDA. Their approach combines rigorous organisation, practical knowledge of the field and a direct relationship with clients.
We hold public liability insurance (responsabilidade civil de exploração).
Our team
Tony Ferreira
Co-owner and managing director
A former manager in business services in Switzerland, Tony ran cleaning services at a site combining administrative areas, production facilities and laboratories.
His role covered team supervision, preparing proposals, coordinating subcontractors, waste management, including special waste, and overseeing specialist work. He also ensured compliance with quality requirements, safety instructions and the commitments made to the client.
He brings this management experience to Zigzag, with close attention to planning and supervising each job.
Joel Matias
Co-owner and managing director
Joel built his expertise working closely with the teams and on site. He worked alongside Tony and also stood in for him during his absences.
His experience as a Team leader taught him to adapt the organisation to the constraints of each site and to support the teams in their day-to-day work. Used to ensuring continuity of service, he pays particular attention to preparing each job, monitoring the work and communicating with the client.
He brings a practical outlook to Zigzag.

Today, Tony and Joel combine their skills with a shared commitment to careful work, clear communication and attentive service.
As the business gets started, they carry out work on site themselves. This allows them to understand each site and the client’s expectations, and to monitor service quality personally.
